I'm going to be doing something a bit different today. I've gotten lazy on getting CD's to review, so I'm going to review the newest single from Ernie Haase & Signature Sound today. As the title implies, the song is called "Wake Up". Ernie co-wrote it to commemorate his web series "Friday Night Sing" (which I will be posting a review of soon so stay tuned!) and EHSS also released it to streaming platforms as a single. The song really spoke to me, so that's why I'm reviewing it today. It talks about how it's important to live in the moment instead of being preoccupied with past mistakes or what could have been. I'm completely guilty of these things! I'm such a perfectionist and am always daydreaming about what could be or what would have happened if "___" were different. This song helps me remember that I need to stop obsessing over things I can't change or dreaming about things I can't do. I just need to make the most of the time God has given me. And, not to mention, the song has a nice, fun beat. If you find yourself dwelling on mistakes or wishing for something you can't have, or if you just like fun music and catchy lyrics, this one's for you!
