This was my first time seeing the Hoppers! They have come to my area a few times before, but it just never worked out for me to see them until now. The group members are Claude and Connie Hopper, their sons Dean and Mike, Dean's wife Kim and their older daughter Karlye. I would definitely recommend it if you have a chance but let's get on with the song highlights!
Life Is Good: The title cut from their second-most recent CD. It's great. Fun but great lyrics too!
My Ransom: A great new one that features Karlye. Gotta be one of my faves!
Jerusalem: Not so new, but incidentally I guess I forgot how good this song was!
Yahweh: See above, except I really didn't forget how much I liked it :)
Be An Overcomer: The namesake of their current tour, it is a fun, upbeat song from their new CD/DVD, Honor the First Families of Gospel Music.
He Looked Beyond My Fault: Ok, this has GOT to be my fave arrangement. So amazing!!!
I Wouldn't Take Nothing for My Journey Now: Like this one too!
Something's Happening: Oh. My! What an amazing song! I'd heard it mentioned in a magazine article a couple years back but I haven't actually heard it until now. A sure must-listen!
Again, this concert was quite a while ago but time has not been on my side lately for allowing these posts. I think I did pretty well for remembering which ones they did, though, considering that I'm just doing this post on the fly!:)
